Pardon this bit of bragging
After a semester of weeknights and ends spent busting our asses developing a new product from scratch - the technical, the manufacturing, the logistics, the funding, the financials, the marketing, the advertising, all of it - my team presented our product to our classmates and all of our professors this morning. 15 minutes with a five minute Q&A. Our product and presentation were voted 1st place by our peers.
A lot of posts and memes pass through my dashboard about under/grad courses that have team projects, and how many people get stuck with teammates who don’t carry their weight, and subsequently get screwed. I was fortunate enough to be paired up with three other students who were dedicated. They worked hard, did their part, didn’t complain, listened when appropriate, spoke up when necessary, and are generally good people in and outside of the classroom.
So here’s to you, New Product Development 220.1 Weekend Format Team #4.
